We are communicating with about 350 of you through our Friends List in Facebook. We enjoy the feedback from you but this method has become unreliable (we keep getting random "an address for one of these contacts is incorrect" errors which takes much time to isolate). We will eventually be discontinuing this method of contact. See the contact methods listed above so you can be thinking about what method you would like to switch to. PLEASE NOTE: We are not discontinuing contact through our facebook page, "Cooks at Whispering Winds Bible Camp," or our blog at "brucecookfamily.blogspot.com".

Praise the Lord: We had a great trip to Indiana to hang with family/friends for Christmas. Special thank you for Mike and Lori and Steffany Parrish for putting up with the SEVEN of us for 3 days. You guys were so gracious. It really was only 3 days. Also, a wonderful time as family for Christmas that included a banquet, camp-in and more. What was special about yours? Please pray that:
1. God will give us endurance in the months ahead as Bruce finishes his graduate studies, we pack to move, we continue all our responsibilities here in West Virginia till we move.

2. We plan to move in April. Pray for the funds to make the move and all the hick ups that go along with moving a family.
3. God will provide churches and individuals who will commit to take our support level from 30% to 100% so we can be a help to the staff at Whispering Winds Bible Camp.

Praise the Lord: We are looking forward to a quick trip to Indiana this Thursday. Praise the Lord, He provided us with a Fridge and Stove when we move to Missouri. On top of that, they are already in the house we will be living in. Now we just have to pay for them. Minor details. We are excited though, because the stove is just like the one we left in Indiana when we sold our house to move here. It doesn't take much to get us excited, I know. Praise the Lord that Whispering Winds Bible Camp has a full-time Camp Cook. Todd Carter and his wife are now on staff and blessing attendees with awesome food. Can't wait to get out there and see for ourselves.

Please pray that:
1. God will provide people to take our place at Mount Tabor Baptist Church (Youth Group, Sound System) when the time comes for us to move to Missouri.
2. God will give us wisdom to determine when we should move out there and begin our work at Whispering Winds Bible Camp.
3. God will provide much needed support so we can join the Camp staff in Missouri. We are at 30% of our $3225 monthly need.

God Likes Us!

I heard this in chapel yesterday. Simple but deep. God not only loves us unconditionally because it's part of who He is, He also LIKES us. From John 16:27. This is love as in family/brother/sister/parent/child love. God the Father LIKES me because I love His Son Jesus Christ. Chew on that for a while. I'd love to see your comments.

God Provides Again!

We have a Stove and Fridge. More later on this. But what's so cool is that we won't have to move them when we do.

Praise the Lord: We had the most awesome Thanksgiving celebration as a family. It was very cool. We shared together, cooked together, played games till late, decorated for Christmas together. It really was great! We praise the Lord so much for times like these.

Please pray that:
1. God will provide people to take our place at Mount Tabor Baptist Church (Youth Group, Sound System) when the time comes for us to move to Missouri.
2. God will provide much needed full time and summer staff for Bible Impact Ministries and Whispering Winds Bible Camp.
3. God will provide much needed support so we can join the Camp staff in Missouri.

Praise the Lord: We had a good day for Homecoming Sunday at Mount Tabor Baptist Church. Our Youth Group stayed late Wednesday to move chairs and tables for the event. You guys are the best. We enjoyed the insight of Gary Candlish into Jewish and Muslim thinking this week at MTBC. We enjoyed a wonderful time spending time with God one morning at the New River Gorge at Longpoint.


Please pray that:
1. God will provide the youth leaders we need at Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
2. God will provide much needed staff (full time and summer) for Bible Impact Ministries and Whispering Winds Bible Camp.
3. God will provide much needed support so we can join the BIM staff in Missouri.
4. God will give us wisdom, love, patience, discernment as we raise our 5 "gifts from the Lord".
