Prayer:

1. For God to lead many summer staff to us at ABC this week.

2. For God to provide our ministry with a General Director and Program Director.

3. For God to help our staff work as a team during this time without a Director.

4. For God to keep us faithful

Praise:

1. Great start to the Missions Conference at ABC today. We love it here!

2. Good time with our sending church, Mount Tabor, last night.

3. Encouraging word from a pastor from India last night.

4. Fun time surprising Nate yesterday. We hope to see Bryan tomorrow night!

Genesis 1:14 "Then God said, 'Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;"

Prayer:

1. For faithfulness among our staff and our family.

2. For a trip to West Virginia next week for ABC's Missions Conference.

3. Discernment as we begin the search for next summer's staff.

4. Servant hearts for upcoming retreats (next two weekends).

Praise:

1. For a wonderful week as a family!

2. For a fun day with our favorite 16 year old, Caleb!

3. For a great few days with a christian school from O'Fallon, MO!

4. For breath in our lungs!

5. For God providing a place to do rappelling and caving!

Cook's Short Order Update

Genesis 1:13 "There was evening and there was morning, a third day."

Prayer:

1. Upcoming Fall Youth Retreat. Pray for the speaker, Fred Kornis.

2. That God will soon provide our ministry with a General Director and other staff positions.

3. That we will be faithful servants of Jesus, our church family, our guests at Camp, and our fellow staff

Praise:

1. For a super Creation Conference.

2. For the literal teaching of Genesis 1 during the Conference.

3. For our Pastor, David Gidcumb, who faithfully teaches the truth as it is written.

4. For Skype. We had a good time chatting with Nate the other day.

5. For Seth getting over a very short flu time.

Cook's Short Order Update

Genesis 1:12 "The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good."

Prayer:

1. Creation Conference this Friday and Saturday. Pray for Dr. Tommy Mitchell to have strength and clarity as he speaks. He has conferences on either side of ours.

2. That God will soon provide our ministry with a General Director and other staff positions.

3. That our family will always be faithful to Jesus Christ.

Praise:

1. For a beautiful Fall season.

2. For God's love and faithfulness.

3. Cooler temps and lower humidity. Missouri is really quite beautiful in the Fall!

4. Our pastors at New Harmony Church, who preach and teach faithfully. Thank you, men!

Prayer:
1. Upcoming retreats this month - that we will be a blessing to our guests

2. Creation Conference at Whispering Winds Bible Camp - Oct. 21-22 - that God will give Dr. Mitchell clear communication

3. Faithfulness in home, church, ministry

Praise:
1. Souls being saved in our church

2. Spiritual growth in our family

3. Our kids being excited about serving

4. Nate's school bill is taken care of through September

Prayer:
1. Upcoming Creation Conference, Oct. 21-22. Dr. Tommy Mitchell of AiG is our speaker.
2. Faithfulness in whatever God asks of us.
3. For continued faithful prayer and financial support. For those who support us now, "Thank you!", from our hearts.
4. For each of us (Bruce, Michelle, Bryan, Nate, Caleb, Kaitie, Seth) to look more like Jesus each day.

Praise:
1. God's Holy Spirit!
2. Good very first LOG Cabin School classes the last two weeks.
3. For our kids who are blessing us with their lives! God has been so good to us!

Cook's Short Order Update

Genesis 1:9 "Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so.

"For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountain of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries." Astronomer Robert Jastrow.

A trip to West Virginia a couple weekends ago included dropping Nate off at Appalachian Bible College ("thank you God, for such a fine place to leave our son!"), a couple hours with Bryan, a visit with our sending church, Mount Tabor Baptist Church, and several very short visits with others in the area. It was very tough leaving Nate, both for us and for him, but God gives us these precious gifts only for a time. Thank you God!

Prayer:
1. Trip to a new church in Indiana this weekend.
2. Need for General Director and Camp Program Director for Bible Impact Ministries.
3. Our home school has picked up again.

Praise:
1. Nate is safely at ABC
2. Breath in our lungs
3. Some awesome family times
4. Seth is excited to be learning in his science class about the universe God created.
5. Michelle and I got to take off for a couple days for our 25th anniversary (Thank you!).
